Hands-On History Camp
2020 Camp Colonial has been cancelled
In compliance with state and CDC orders, and in the best interest of the safety of our staff, volunteers, teachers, and campers, we have made the very difficult decision to cancel this year’s Hands on History Camp.
We are working to reschedule this year’s camp presenters for individual workshops to be held on Sunday afternoons during the month of August. The schedule will be announced as soon as we are able to confirm dates with our instructors.
About Hands on History Camp
The Moravian Historical Society hosts its popular Hands-On History camp on our historic site at 214 East Center Street in Nazareth. Students aged 8-12 can kick off their summer vacation immersed in history as they engaged in nature, archaeology, and art-based activities inspired by objects from our world-renowned collection. Campers have the opportunity to work hands-on with local scholars and professionals who lead exciting activities and learning experiences. Campers explore museum objects, create artistic projects in both drawing and music, create models and objects used by colonists, act out a final play, and much more!
FEE: Thanks to our generous sponsors, the $275 camp fee is waived! A $25 material fee is required.
We'd like to thank our partners who make the camp possible:
