15th Annual Share the Heritage: Friday, April 16, 6 p.m.
The Moravian Historical Society is pleased to present its 15th Annual Share the Heritage online. We invite you to join us for a fun and festive wine tasting event with New Jersey’s only Master of Wine Chris Cree. During this educational, fun, and delicious look at two of Italy’s top wine regions - Piedmont and Tuscany, we’ll taste and compare one wine from each region and learn how the climate, soils, grape varieties, as well as wine making methods all play a role in crafting each wine's uniquely different style.
Chris will guide us through a zoom meeting that includes a presentation and plenty of time for questions and answers. All you have to do is log in to the meeting, grab a couple of glasses, open the wines a few minutes in advance and taste, learn and enjoy!
Share the Heritage is our signature event that supports our mission to preserve, interpret, and celebrate the rich culture of the Moravians.
Once you register, details about how to pick up your wine and cheese and the link for the online event will be sent.
With Chris’s knowledge from his many visits to wine regions around the world, he can recreate those experiences in a casual setting where you can expand your knowledge and appreciation of wine, all while having fun and enjoying a glass (or two) with your quarantine buddies!
The evening will also feature the presentation our our annual Heritage Award. This year we honor the Rev. Dr. Craig Atwood, a scholar of Moravian history and an advocate and long-time volunteer for the Moravian Historical Society. We hope you can join us as we celebrate our 15th annual Share the Heritage.
Tickets are $100 and include two expertly selected bottles of wine, a locally-sourced cheese and charcuterie selection prepared by Cheesy Platters, and an exclusive presentation by Chris for as many people as you can share your screen with!
