The Moravian Historical Society is thankful to our loyal volunteers who help us year-round in many different capacities. Whether you have a few hours or a few days a month, please consider donating your time and talents by volunteering with us in the following ways:
Committees: Help us a few hours a month by serving on one of our committees.
Special event committees: Assist us by helping us plan one of our upcoming events!
Department help: We are always seeking help to greet guests, help in the museum store, marketing, and much more!
Groups: Groups of all ages can help! We are always in need of landscaping help, special event set up and/or clean up, and more.
Internships: We are pleased to work with colleges to offer unpaid, for-credit internships.

“I love volunteering at MHS. I have learned so much more about Moravian history just by working with all the photographs!”
“Volunteering for the Moravian Historical Society has been fantastic. I love being so close to the local history, and I have already learned so much about it. It has been amazing helping an organization that has worked so hard to preserve the history I love for the community.”
“I enjoy teaching elementary/middle school groups who come to the museum, which gives me the opportunity to continue being an educator in retirement. I learned so much about the Moravians’ emphasis on educating children, especially girls, and the leadership role women had in the community, and of course the music that filled their lives every day.”
